As Executive Vice President, Rob provides leadership for overall company performance. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations processes and procedures, strategy development and implementation of plans to grow Wanzek Construction.

Executive Vice President

As Executive Vice President, Rob provides leadership for overall company performance. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations processes and procedures, strategy development and implementation of plans to grow Wanzek Construction. Rob brings a great deal of technical knowledge to his role, exemplified by his experience on-site and hands-on management style. During his tenure, Rob has implemented protocols which have improved efficiency in the Renewables Group and has frequently been recognized for outstanding achievements. An alumnus of North Dakota State University, Rob earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management.

Travis Solberg is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Wanzek Construction, Inc. He began his career at Wanzek in 2012 when he was hired as Accounting Manager, was later promoted to Controller and most recently named Chief Financial Officer.

Travis Solberg is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Wanzek Construction, Inc. He began his career at Wanzek in 2012 when he was hired as Accounting Manager, was later promoted to Controller and most recently named Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Travis directs the financing strategies, analysis, forecasting and budget management, along with accounting operations such as receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting. An alumnus of North Dakota State University, Travis earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting.

As Vice President of Construction, Chris leads the Renewable Group to meet our company objectives. Chris is responsible for directing all the administrative functions of the wind division and policies.

As Vice President of Construction, Chris leads the Renewable Group to meet our company objectives. Chris is responsible for directing all the administrative functions of the wind division and policies. He has spent 16 years working in the renewable energy industry and has been involved with the construction of over 3 gigawatts of wind energy and battery storage across North America. Chris attended the University of Waterloo, earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemical Engineering, following which he earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

As Vice President of Construction, Michael leads the Industrial Construction Team at Wanzek and MasTec Power Corp., a sister company of Wanzek. Responsible for the safety, quality, overall project execution and project financial results of Industrial and Industrial Services projects, Michael promotes Wanzek’s Core Beliefs and focuses on achieving overall business objectives. Responsible for attracting and retaining high level performers and industrial clients, Michael works to enhance Wanzek’s industrial capabilities through strategic planning, high level safety performance and best in class quality. He brings to Wanzek 33 years of experience in oil, gas, chemicals, pipelines, renewable energy markets, power and mining. An alumnus of the University of Southern Colorado, Michael holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology.

As Vice President of Operations, Arnold manages the daily functions of Wanzek. Responsible for overseeing Quality, the Project Management Office and Project Services, he supervises those that provide needed services, processes and consistency to the construction groups.

As Vice President of Operations, Arnold manages the daily functions of Wanzek. Responsible for overseeing Quality, the Project Management Office and Project Services, he supervises those that provide needed services, processes and consistency to the construction groups. Arnold utilizes his previous experience in many different Wanzek departments, including project management, business development and operations to lead a large, innovative group to achieve client expectations safely, profitably and in a manner that is rewarding for both our clients and our teams. An alumnus of North Dakota State University, Arnold earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

As Vice President of Corporate Services, Randy leads the Human Resources, Training, Marketing and Communication, IT, and Corporate Projects Departments at Wanzek.

As Vice President of Corporate Services, Randy leads the Human Resources, Training, Marketing and Communication, IT and Corporate Projects Departments at Wanzek. Among those responsibilities, he leads the workforce and succession planning, overseeing staff operations and allocating resources and talent to support the goals of the business. With over 30 years of experience in executive management, Randy’s valuable experience and leadership are an asset to Wanzek. Randy is an alumnus of North Dakota State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

In his role as Vice President of Health, Safety and Environmental, Michael oversees Wanzek’s culture of safety and commitment to a culture of a Zero Injury workplace. Supervising a team of safety and administrative professionals, Michael ensures Wanzek’s compliance with federal, state and corporate environmental, health and safety regulations. Michael, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), brings over 20 years of health and safety experience to Wanzek and was most recently Oil, Gas and Chemicals Sector HSE Director for CH2MHILL. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management from Columbia Southern University.
